"Fools gold"
I had a bottle of “fool’s gold” sitting on a shelf for years, given to me as a gift, and I felt it was a shame for it to gather dust. I began experimenting with ways to use it and quickly fell in love with this style—it keeps the natural stone as the star, letting its sparkle and shine catch the light beautifully.
Now, I source large pieces of pyrite, as it’s properly called, and my dad helps me break them with a heavy hammer, creating lots of unique fragments to work with. Each piece in the collection is built on a sterling silver base, with the pyrite set in place using clear resin. Because of the natural variations in the stone, every piece is entirely one-of-a-kind.
