My name is Abby Filer
I have always had a love for creative arts and crafts since a young age so it was inevitable that I would have a career in making. As a child I would spend hours trying all sorts of different crafts and doodling away on any surface available.
In 2006 I set up Abby Filer jewellery after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, with a Bachelor of art and Ba Hons in 3 dimensional design.
I now hand make 15 different jewellery collections, using predominately sterling silver but also working in aluminium, semi precious gem stones and gold to create unique wearable pieces of art.
Franny and Filer
In 2009 I opened Franny & Filer - a jewellery shop located in Chorlton, South Manchester, with my friend and fellow jeweller Frances Stunt.
At Franny and Filer I now have my workshop set up in store, and I hand made all of my different jewellery collections from there. We also stock the work of over 40 Uk based other jewellers to create a wonderful mix of work for people to see.
