I had best start with my own shop which I set up a friend and fellow jeweller Frances Stunt.

Our shop is called Franny & Filer and is located on Beech Road in Chorlton, Manchester.

We set up the gallery with the aim to provide emerging designers specialising in handmade jewellery and crafts, with a modern space to showcase their creative talent.  Alongside a  hand picked selection of more established designers.

Both me and Fran  make all of our jewellery collections instore allowing customers to see the techniques, skills and time spent creating each unique and original piece.

Wigan 48 - Hull 24

Hi all, tonight was a thrilling night for all us Wigan Warriors fans, as Wigan came back triumphantly from the loss last week against Bradford to beat Hull with an array of exciting and quirky tries.

The only downside to the game were the 2 sneaky tries Hull scored in the last 10 mins as I personnaly do not think that they deserved them ;-), but nothing could ruin seeing Wigan keep their number 1 spot!!!!

Stereophonics are awesome!!!!1

Ive just got in from watching Stereophonics live at The Manchester Eveneing News Arena and they were absolutely, amazingly brilliant !!!!

If you have never been make it the next gig to attend as you will never be dissapointed. Kelly Jones's voice is so sexy, mix that with catchy, edgy songs and it makes for a fab experience :-)

I cant wait to go to the next one if only I could watch them everynight, it would be a million times better than TV!!!!

BOO HOO :-(

Ive just got in after freezin my toes off watching Wigan Warriors loose to The Bradford Bulls in a disappointing  22 - 20 match.

I thought we were all set to win by half time with Wigan ahead 20 - 0 but I was wrong as the team seemed to revert to their awful last season playing techniques in the second half, and Bradford snook in and took the lead in the final minutes.

Im gutted!!!!!!!!! But bring on Hull next weekfor hopefully our next win to keep us top of the table

Wigan Warriors 58 - Catalans Dragons 0  - WOO HOO

This is probably going to become a regular feature on my blog as Im a massive Wigan Warriors fan. I go every week home and away to watch Wigan with my dad and this year they  have started the season brilliantly under new coach Michael Maguire.

So even though its not specifically jewellery related its a big bit of my life :-) and as Ive said previously my retro flowers jewellery collection colours are based on the wigan team colours so it does influence my designs.

Hi all, Ive just been looking through all my old sketch books relooking at what has previously inspired my jewellery designs, and its reminded me just how much I love the sixties design era. Its fun, colourful and produced amazing unique pieces that are still fashionable today!!!

Below are a few pieces that I love from the 60's -

Eero Aarnio's "Ball / Globe" chair.                   George Nelson's "Marshmallow" sofa.

Kendix Fabric                               Joe Colombo's "Tubo" modular seating system.

My flower jewellery inspired by the images above.
